St. Barth
French West Indies
By Charles and Christine Didcott
St. Barthelemy, affectionately known as “St. Barth” or “St. Barts,” is a small island in the French West Indies. It occupies only 8.3 square miles and is distinctly different from most of the Caribbean Islands. St. Barth’s interesting history of Spanish, Swedish, and now French sovereignty has given the island a unique culture. St. Barth’s natural beauty and absence of high-rises, casinos, or crowded beaches make it a popular destination. St. Barth was photographed and written by Charles and Christine Didcott who were able to capture the seasons, topography, people, and daily life, as well as the holidays and carnival. Designed, produced and published by Dana Jinkins and Jill Bobrow of Concepts Publishing, Inc.
