Antigua and Barbuda
A Photographic Journey
By Dana Jinkins and Jill Bobrow
Antigua and Barbuda are two islands that comprise one independent country in the Leeward Islands of the Eastern Caribbean. Antigua is a well-known yachting and charter center. Barbuda is 27 miles north of Antigua and is much less known, yet with miles of beautiful beaches and turquoise shoal water, it has its own special charm.
In producing this book the authors discovered there is a lot more to these islands than the coastline. They explored the interior from dirt road to donkey path, met many interesting people, and unearthed many beautiful places not immediately obvious. This book is a photographic journey and a geographical tour that highlights places of interest parish by parish. The late Desmond Nicholson, a long-time resident and authority on these islands, provided an historical essay as well as vintage photographs.
